Biography
Dr. Tara Luck grew up in Darwin, completing all of her secondary schooling locally at Darwin High School as the highest ranked student in her graduating year.
She then went on to study and work as a clinical dietitian, both in Darwin and London, prior to studying Medicine and Surgery at Flinders University, where she graduated as the highest ranked student with Honours.
Dr. Luck completed her surgical training in Melbourne, working in busy sub-specialist units, including: colorectal, breast and endocrine, thoracics and bariatric units. This training was complemented by a further Fellowship year in Upper GI Surgery.
Dr. Luck has returned to Darwin with her husband, Dr. Matt Mathieson, who is an anaesthetist. Outside of work she is a mother of two and an avid runner.
